Sciety’s Board of Directors has appointed Anna Sundin as the company’s new Managing Director. She succeeds one of Sciety’s founders, Andreas Lindblom, who will continue in an operational role as Managing Partner. Anna Sundin has 25 years of experience in the financial sector and joins Sciety from BearingPoint, where she was responsible for M&A in the Nordics. She assumed the role of Managing Director on 16 September.
Anna Sundin brings extensive experience across corporate finance, corporate banking and management consulting. Over the course of her career, she has worked on a wide range of transactions, including capital raisings, initial public offerings, M&A and debt financing, as well as providing strategic advice to growth-stage companies.
Most recently, Anna was responsible for BearingPoint’s M&A activities in the Nordics. She has previously held roles at ABG Sundal Collier, Swedbank, Bryan Garnier & Co and Kaupthing Bank, among others. Throughout her career, she has worked with a large number of companies and transactions within healthcare and life science.
“Sciety has developed significantly since it was founded in 2016, and we are now entering a phase where we want to continue strengthening both our organisation and our capabilities in investment and capital raising. Anna brings a highly relevant combination of experience in transactions, financing and strategic advisory, together with strong knowledge of the life science sector. I am very pleased that she has chosen to join Sciety and look forward to continuing to develop the company together,” says Andreas Lindblom, Co-founder and Managing Partner at Sciety.
As part of the change in leadership, Andreas Lindblom will shift his focus from managing the day-to-day operations to taking a more active role in corporate governance and ECM.
“Sciety has built a strong position in Nordic life science, and I look forward to continuing to develop the company together with the team. The combination of investment, capital raising and deep sector expertise provides a strong platform for helping more promising life science companies grow. I am very excited to take on the role of Managing Director and to contribute with my experience in financing, transactions and strategic advisory,” says Anna Sundin, Managing Director of Sciety.
Sciety’s founders, Malin Lindblom and Andreas Lindblom, will both continue in operational roles as Managing Partners and will also remain active members of Sciety’s Board of Directors.
