NEWS. Sciety has contributed to raising SEK 25 million for healthtech company Braive as part of the company’s latest round, totalling SEK 30 million. Braive has developed an AI-based, clinically validated platform for mental health treatment that enables more efficient, scalable, and measurable care. The capital will fund further development of the company’s technology platform, preparations for expansion into new markets, and scaling of sales and marketing.
Mental health is one of the greatest global health challenges of our time, with fewer than one in ten people affected receiving the right support. At the same time, traditional therapy is resource-intensive and difficult to scale. Braive offers a digital mental health solution sold as a full platform to insurance companies and as a software platform for healthcare providers. The solution combines clinically validated cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), diagnostic screenings, and AI-supported clinical tools.
The platform is used by both patients and clinicians, enabling efficient, scalable, and measurable treatment at a fraction of the cost of traditional therapy. Braive has also recently secured CE marking under EU MDR class IIa, strengthening the platform’s credibility as a medical device within mental health. The company’s customers include leading insurance companies and healthcare providers in Sweden and Norway.
The company’s shareholders include Sven Hagströmer’s investment company Bioinvestor, The Inner Foundation – founded by Annika Sten Pärson and Pär-Jörgen Pärson – as well as Norwegian firm Altitude Capital and a number of business angels.
“We look forward to following the company’s continued development. Braive operates in a large and fast-growing healthcare segment with a clinically and regulatorily validated, and commercially proven platform. The combination of growth, recurring revenues, and clear customer value makes Braive an attractive company,” says Andreas Lindblom, Managing Partner at Sciety.
“With the new capital, we look forward to continuing our growth journey. We are seeing strong interest in our solution and have a number of active dialogues with major healthcare operators and insurance companies in the Nordics, which form the foundation for continued growth and expansion,” says Hermine Bonde Jahren, CEO and founder of Braive.
