Sciety is a long-term capital partner in healthcare, focused on the Nordic region. We are now looking for a Head of ECM to join our office at Grev Turegatan 26 in Stockholm.

About the role

As Head of ECM (Equity Capital Markets), you will work closely with our transaction and analyst teams to drive the financing of the companies Sciety has chosen to invest in.

You will play a central role in Sciety’s continued growth by developing our investor relationships and ensuring the successful execution of our capital raises.

Key responsibilities

Overall responsibility for ECM: You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the capital raises for the companies we have selected and committed to financing are successfully completed. You will also lead and coordinate the day-to-day work of the ECM team, which currently consists of three people and is expanding, with an additional recruitment under way.

Build and deepen investor relationships: You will work actively with our existing investor network, including family offices, investment companies and venture capital firms, to present the companies selected by Sciety’s analyst team. Your ability to build and deepen relationships will be key to successfully completing our capital raises. You will also bring your own investor relationships and actively contribute to broadening and developing Sciety’s investor network.

Lead investor meetings: You will run investor meetings both independently and together with our specialists in medicine, business development and finance. You are comfortable taking discussions from first contact through to closing and presenting companies in a credible and professional way.

Work closely with the transaction and analyst teams: You will work closely with colleagues across our transaction and analyst teams. To succeed in the role, you need to be interested in understanding the companies we work with and able to communicate their value clearly to potential investors.

Your profile

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance, or an equivalent university degree.
  • You have at least 10 years of professional experience, including at least five years within investment banking, such as ECM, corporate finance or equity brokerage.
  • You have experience meeting clients and engaging with investors, and are comfortable presenting investment opportunities and discussing financial and investment matters.
  • Experience working with healthcare companies is a plus.
  • An established network of relevant investors, such as family offices, investment companies and venture capital firms, is considered an advantage.
  • You have strong communication skills and are fluent in both Swedish and English.
